"Having" any one of those Values
expressed at any moment "makes" me
Happy. When I'm Happy, I am at my
very best, fully awake and aware,
here and now, and having a ball. So,
that's my Intention for all the
Members of TGN .comUnity. I want
them to Be Happy, too, because when
they are, I know they'll be Living
Life at its Best....

Why isn't The Greatest Networker
.comUnity a Network Marketing
Opportunity or at least have an
Affiliate Program?
I
learned long ago with Upline® not to
compete with or be a distraction for
people's primary Networking Company
Partnership. If TGN was a
money-making opportunity, people
would spend their time and energy
promoting it. That's creative effort
that's NOT being focused on their
Network Marketing Partnership and
that is Not a Good Thing.
Our
job at TGN is to Inform, Involve and
Inspire our Members to More and
Better Success in their Life and
Work with their Chosen Company.
When TGN Members encourage others to
join, it's only because they believe
in the Value we're offering people‹
not because we're paying them to do
so. That's got a lot of integrity.
Keeps us clean, uncompromising and
perhaps most important, it keeps us
"Safe."
TGN
is a SAFE Space and Place. Given the
nature of some of the Personal
Growth and Development work we do
here, the Truth and Honesty we
encourage people to share, that's
critical.
I
know we'd grow faster if we had a
compensation plan. I'll take the
slow road, because it's the high and
highest road.
Have
you ever heard this Test Question:
"Would you Use and Recommend the
products even if you didn't get paid
for it...?"
TGN
is that kind of Product.

If you know so much about "How to do
Network Marketing the Right Way" why
aren't you a Distributor...?
Love
this question! (Mostly because my
answer strikes some people as really
arrogant. You be the judge:-) There
are two primary reasons I'm not
building a Network Marketing
Business:
1.
One company is simply not big enough
for me. I knew from the beginning I
wanted to make a positive difference
on the entire Global Network
Marketing industry - I have and
there's lots more to do and be done.
2.
God gave me two gifts (amongst
others): I can Speak to People and I
can Write. It would be really
arrogant NOT to use those gifts to
Serve. The Greatest Networker in
the World has sold more than one
million copies. I've been able to
have a pretty powerful impact on
lots of people lives. More than if I
was a Distributor...? Much more. I'm
certain.

Some people have called you
"arrogant." How do you respond to
that...?
I
feel deeply hurt and angry - and I
want to kill them...:-)
I am
very Direct and I tell the Truth as
best I can. That disturbs some
people. And for me that comes under
the heading of, "What you think of
me is none of my business."
Arrogance is the state of being
Arrogant, which means "Making or
disposed to make claims to
unwarranted importance or
consideration out of overbearing
pride."
Ask
anyone who has ever worked closely
with me, I never do that....

What is going on with the Network
Marketing industry right now...?
By
the numbers it's flat to failing -
and of course, we have our Stars:
some flashes in the pans; some
extraordinary companies with
Superior Products, Great Leadership
(inside and out in the field) and
Unique and Powerful Cultures.
I
think the problem is NOT "...the
economy stupid." I think the
arm-twisting, high-pressure,
Trespass Marketing and Manipulation
of the MLM Past is coming back to
haunt us. Our reputation stinks and
it's mostly well deserved.
Ask
yourself this question: Of ALL the
people who have ever been approached
by a Network Marketer, how many
would say, "It was a Great
Experience, it truly Honored Me and
made Me Feel Special about Myself
and Great about Network
Marketing"...?
If
you come up with a number that's
greater than two-tenths of one
percent, you have your head in the
sand.
Get Rich Slow - Network Marketing
for the rest of us...
is what I'm doing to
change that....

What is your vision of Network
Marketing in the future?
I
think it will Disappear - and no,
I'm not kidding.
We
are not as some have said, "The Last
Bastion of Free Enterprise." Network
Marketing is - at our best - a Giant
Step in the
Evolution of Free Enterprise.
As
such, what I expect is that the
things we do well and rightly will
be absorbed into the way people Buy
and Sell Everything. My sense is
that in Business as well as
Politics, Education, even organized
Religion, the Values and Vision, the
Principles and Practices of Network
Marketing (again, the Good and Great
Ones) will be incorporated into the
Global Transformation of the way the
World Works.
Look
at the explosive growth of Affiliate
Programs... Flex-time and
Corporations encouraging people to
work at home... the meteoric rise of
"Creative Contribution and
Satisfaction" on the list of what
people want from their jobs....
It's
just a matter of time before the
whole world is Network Marketing.
How much time...? I don't have a
clue. I do know it's already begun
to happen.

Will you talk about the "False
self"...?
I
first learned about the existence of
"False self" from Vernon Howard.
Sadly no longer with us in person,
you can read Vernon's incredible
teachings (and listen to his tapes)
by going to:
http://www.anewlife.org/.
From Carol McCall and Mike Smith, I
learned where the False self came
from. And from Bob Hoffman and the
Quadrinity Process, I put the final
pieces of my own False self in
place.
Please read the chapter of Get Rich
Slow entitled The Kingpin. That'll
give you some practical background.
It's here at:
*** Insert Link Here
***
After
you become aware of the False self
and work with that for a number of
years-- especially if your work is
from "the front of the room,"
leading workshops, Mentor programs
and the like-- you KNOW when you are
in the presence of a False self.
Either Live! or in print, I can
smell 'em a mile away-- and yes,
even my own :-)
My
automatic tendency is to go after
them: Slap 'em, smack 'em, give 'em
the boot or even the shoot (as in
"Bang. Bang. You're Dead!") They are
covert, manipulative, small-minded,
selfish, self-obsessed, creepy
bitches and bastards up to no good!
I expose them for what they are. I
fight with them.... And, I forget to
come with Compassion. I forget my
Black Belt in Spiritual Akido (which
is why I often start out boxing an'
slugging, instead of simply
directing their energy back on them
so they end up on their back on the
mat, looking dazed and confused,
while I bow and humbly say, "You've
had enough. Go away now....")
I
forget that the False self is an
Imposter; not real, a fabricated
fantasy no-body, living in the mind
of a real, live Human Being--
created by the nearly new and not
all that smart yet mind of a child,
yet living large with all its adult
"accoutrémonts" of age, brilliance,
Life experience and flawless memory.
I
forget that the False self is a
scared (even scarred) little child,
"Lookin' for Love in all the wrong
places...."
I
forget to be Grateful and Gracious--
a crude Warrior, not an Officer and
a Gentleman; an unpolished
Samurai... a teenage Mushashi.
Then
I remember. I breathe (not sigh) and
engage the gentle battle instead....
My
Friends, your False selves are what
stands between You and Your
Greatness as Human Beings... between
You and the Freedom You Seek...
between You and Your True
Happiness....
Please, learn to recognize their
Faces. Discover their True Names, so
that You have the power over them,
so that You are in control of Your
own TV Set.
Of
all the things there are to do and
be done, this One is Fundamental for
Your Life....

You said you
think Network Marketing will
disappear, would elaborate?e?
To
begin, Network Marketing is NOT an
industry (even though all of us say
so:-). It's a Marketing Method. I
mean really, an industry that sells
tires, and cosmetics, and long
distance phone service, and
vitamins, and pre-paid legal
services, and financial information,
and water filters, and primordial
pond scum.... You get the picture.
The
"disappear" remark was about
Business in general- Global
Everything, Inc.- absorbing our
methods, principles and practices
into how They Buy and Sell
everything. So, if Steve Jobs was
truly genius, he'd harness the
awesome loyalty and near religious
enthusiasm of Mac users with a comp
plan paying down three to five
levels and sell the snot out of
Apple and it's stock would
skyrocket. He will. In time. They
all will-- Ford, IBM, the Gap,
Merrill Lynch.... they'll all
eventually see our power points and
adopt what we do so very well.
And
when the dust settles, there will
still be some "pure" Networking
companies around, but the Commercial
World will be done and doing Network
Marketing.
Thanks to Rosario Chiodo for this
question.

What are some ways of meeting more
people and building a relationship
with them when you do not have as
much time as you would like to spend
on the business?s?
People are everywhere and so are the
opportunities to meet them.
Please read Malcom Gladwell's book
The Tipping Point. It's a highly
readable exploration of how trends
(like a shopping "virus" or the rise
in teenage smoking) are started in
our world today. (And as a Network
Marketer, wouldn't you like to start
the trend that has the world beat a
path to your door...?) In the book,
Gladwell explains that the number
one thing that makes for
"Connections" between people is
"Shared Activity." Soccer Moms hang
out with other Soccer Moms. People
go to art museums, do the Starbucks
dance every morning, play golf,
etceteras.
I say
the reason Shared Activity is such
great Glue holding people together
is the Shared VALUES they experience
and express through that Activity.
That's what truly connects people
with each other.
So,
the game is to Connect with people
of Shared Values through Shared
Activity. (Obviously, your best
chance for quick Relationshipping
with the best chance of Friendship--
yes?)
Okay,
where are THEY...?
They're everywhere those Activities
happen: On football fields, at
coffee shops, in galleries, shops,
on mountain trails, in parks, on ski
slopes, next to water coolers,
antique malls, scenic overlooks,
wine bars and on and on....
How
do you meet them and start a
Relationship...?
Say
Hi. Instant Relationship. Ask a
question: "Gee those pink alligator
pants are striking. Where in the
world did you find them...?" Truly,
anything will do. It's why I use
"Where do you live?" It's not my
first thing to say, but quickly into
the Conversation I ask, because it's
such a great way to learn about
people. "Where do you live...? What
do you like best about living
there...? Really, tell me about
that...?" My questions come directly
from the Conversation- from
LISTENING.
I can
start a Relationship and move it
into Friendship (if I choose) in
minutes. It's easy and, yes, it
takes practice. Start with public
people- men and women who are Paid
to talk to You and be Nice to You,
too: Policemen and women, the clerks
behind counters, waiters and
waitresses, the guys and gals in
retail stores. It won't take long
before you are comfortable chatting
with strangers. Then, a rushed 15
minute lunch break or standing in
line at the bank becomes an
opportunity....
Thanks (again:-) to Rosario Chiodo
for this question.
